There are so many unknown stories about local soldiers that have never been told. The East Loddon ANZACS website is a resource to be used by all that will answer many of the questions about these soldiers. The website contains stories and images that have been compiled by the East Loddon P-12 College Yr. 9 students of 2016 in partnership with the East Loddon Historical Society.

Map of East Loddon ShireThe East Loddon Shire consisted of 9 major towns (Mitiamo, Calivil, Jarklin, Prairie, Dingee, Tandara, Yallook, Serpentine & Pompapiel) and is now known as the Loddon Shire. Around 270 men and women either born, living or working within the East Loddon district enlisted in WWI. Sadly over 65 never returned to Australia.

This website is a place where we can remember our fallen and returned servicemen and women. We commemorate the sacrifices they made for our country and our local community.  It will also contain stories of community and family members who rallied and supported soldiers while at war and when they returned.

Lest We Forget
